Gift Vouchers Terms and Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all Make Believe Ideas Gift Cards (“Gift Cards”) purchased or issued through makebelieveideas.co.uk. By claiming, purchasing, receiving, or using a Gift Card, you agree to these terms.

Claim your Gift Card

If you are the lucky winner of a gift card, simply email  enquiries@makebelieveideas.com using the subject line 'Claim My Gift Card!'. Please include the following information in your email:

  • Your Name
  • Your Email*
  • Your Unique Code†
  • Where you won the prize (e.g. Make Believe Primary School Raffle)

Our team will review your claim and send you an email containing your Gift Card Voucher Code.

*The email address you provide must be the same as the one you will use when creating an account with us, logging in to an existing account, or checking out as a guest. Your Gift Card Voucher Code will be linked to this email address.
†Your unique 6-digit code can be found printed on your winning voucher.

Redemption

Gift Cards can only be redeemed online at makebelieveideas.co.uk. They may be used toward the purchase of any products available on the site, subject to availability. Gift Cards cannot be used to purchase other Gift Cards.

Validity

Gift Cards are valid for 12 months from the date of issue, unless otherwise stated. Any unused balance after the expiry date will be forfeited and cannot be refunded.

Delivery & Activation

Gift Cards are issued electronically by email and become active once payment has been confirmed (for purchased cards) or once issued by Make Believe Ideas (for promotional cards, store credit, or prizes). You are responsible for providing a valid email address for delivery. Make Believe Ideas cannot be held responsible if the email address supplied is incorrect.

Balance & Use

Gift Cards are issued in GBP (£) and can only be redeemed in this currency. They may be used in full or part payment for purchases. If your purchase total is greater than the value of your Gift Card, the remaining balance must be paid using an accepted payment method at checkout. If your purchase total is less than the value of your Gift Card, the remaining balance will remain on the Gift Card and can be used on future purchases before expiry.

You can check your balance by following the link provided in your Gift Card email.

Refunds & Cancellations

Gift Cards cannot be exchanged for cash, resold, or refunded. Purchases made with a Gift Card are refundable in line with our standard returns policy. Any refund will be credited back to the original Gift Card or reissued as store credit.

Lost, Stolen, or Unauthorised Use

Please treat your Gift Card like cash. Make Believe Ideas is not responsible for lost, stolen, destroyed, or unauthorised use of Gift Cards. Replacement Gift Cards will not be provided unless required by law.

Promotional Gift Cards / Store Credit

Gift Cards issued free of charge (for example, as part of a promotion, prize, or goodwill gesture) may have different conditions of use, such as shorter validity periods. These will be stated at the time of issue.

Limitations

Gift Cards are only valid for orders delivered within the United Kingdom. They cannot be used outside of our UK store. Gift Cards cannot be transferred, reloaded, or redeemed with third-party retailers. Make Believe Ideas reserves the right to refuse or cancel Gift Cards suspected of fraud, unauthorised use, or in breach of these Terms.

General

Gift Cards are subject to availability and purchase limits may apply. Make Believe Ideas reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time, where necessary, to reflect changes in law, regulation, or business practice.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Your statutory rights are not affected.
